Unfortunately there are a few people bootlegging this logo and selling the guitar's as REAL Charvel's so be careful.(Keep in mind these are very rare and before purchasing one get a second opinion)!Īfter Wayne Charvel left the company, he opened a shop in Redlands, Calif. It is estimated that he built less than 200 guitar's at this shop and the guitars sported several different logos, of which the W.C. Most of these guitar's also had a neckplate with the Redlands, Calif address.Īlso, ALL Jackson neck-thru guitars had a serial # on the fretboard's last fret. Some will have letters also before the # like RR for Randy Rhoads, or PCS for players choice series, and all archtops will start with JA and then the 4 digits. You might see one letter like J or U and then the 4 digits also. All San Dimas Jackson and Charvel bolt-on guitars will have a 4 digit serial # on the neckplate. Ontario bolt-on Jacksons will have 4 or 6 digit serial #'. #Charvel serial numbers search serial numberĪll Jackson's that have the Professional logo on the headstock are Japanese made! The FIRST Charvel Guitar Serial Number 1001 & Evolution Of The Strat Video, Camz7, Videoclip. #Charvel serial numbers search serial number.I don't play it and I am considering putting it on the market but I want to know more about what I have. If what I have indeed genuine, what sort of value might it be looking at here? I know that there are a few fakes on the market and some users have modified guitars by fitting different necks and heads to bodies from what was stock. I understand there were imports made in Japan between 1985-1991 (primarily the model series) however my understanding is that the CX290 was a model from 1992-1995 therefore I am questioning its autheticity. Fender-style Headstock with import-style logo Badge on the back of the body with official Charvel/Jackson toothpaste-style logo and serial number 366025 Made In Japan sticker on the back of the neck I have only come across one other similar to mine with the strat head which makes me think (if genuine) it might be quite rare. I don't have any information about its heritage and from having a look online it appears there's not a huge amount of information there about this model either. It's been sat in a guitar case in my garage for many years as I lost my passion for playing and have recently come across it while clearing out. I've had it since the late 90s/early 00s and it's in very good condition (all bar a loose pickup that just needs screwdriver attention) - I have hardly used it and I bought it second hand. Hoping this forum can help me as I would like to know more about my Charvel guitar.
